Brain yoga · two hemispheres, one mind

Quick.

A ring made of short strokes lies scattered across the stage and gathers itself back into a circle, the left half arriving from the left and the right half from the right. At first it is slow and the halves arrive out of step; with every round it gathers faster and the halves arrive together, until it snaps into place almost instantly. Tapping scatters it again.

Thoppukarnam is known as brain yoga. Left works right and right works left, and the two hemispheres of the brain, which mostly keep their own time, learn to keep one — and a mind whose halves arrive together takes things in faster, sorts them faster, and finds what it is looking for before it has finished asking. Children get it in a week. Tap to scatter the shape, and watch how fast it finds itself.
